Iran has no one to blame but themselves. A lot of people don’t know who Qassem Soleimani actually was. He was the mastermind of the IED program and directly taught Iraqi insurgents how to build these bombs which were the single biggest cause of deaths and injuries amongst US and coalition troops and civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. Secondly let’s not forget the insane number of people who were killed by his forces inside Iran in the recent protests. The number of deaths have still not been released but is known to be in the triple figures. Iran goes on about international law but has absolutely no regard for it themselves. On a daily basis they threaten civilian ships in international waters which is a violation of international law and make up false charges against foreign citizens who are visiting their country. They have never taken responsibility for anything that has gone wrong in their country, instead blaming the US for their problems. The US offered to help Iran in combatting coronavirus despite themselves being overwhelmed by cases and deaths. Instead of taking the olive branch that the US was offering Iran blamed the US for spreading the virus in Iran. If Iran was less interested in increasing their dominance in the region and focused more on domestic issues they would be a more thriving country and their economy would be more stronger than it is now
